AI & OER Hub: Tools for Teachers and Students
The AI & OER Community Hub is a free online space where teachers, students, and school leaders can learn about using artificial intelligence (AI) to create and improve educational materials. Created by the University of Virginia Libraries and funded by the Institute of Museum and Library Services, this hub brings together thousands of resources about AI in education. The site has collections covering AI literacy, ethics, privacy, accessibility, and how to use AI responsibly in classrooms from elementary through college. Teachers can find lesson plans, tools, and guides for different grade levels. The hub also includes a calendar of AI education events, research papers, and ways for educators to share their own AI resources. An advisory board of education experts helps guide the project. Users can browse resources for free, submit new materials for review, and join a community of educators learning how AI can help make education more open and accessible. The goal is to help teachers understand both the benefits and challenges of AI tools while promoting ethical use in schools.
