Meetings of Opposites is a program that helps people with different political views have respectful conversations. Created by Henry McHenry, this approach has been used in 10 different events since 2012. The program started at the University of Virginia with a climate change debate between two experts with opposite views. After the 2017 Unite the Right rally in Charlottesville, it expanded to help heal community divisions. The program has been offered as college courses, workshops, and online sessions.
