5Connecting Through Conversations CourseThis is an 8-week online course that teaches people how to have better conversations with family and friends. You'll learn skills like listening better, showing empathy, and staying curious instead of judging others. The course includes self-tests, practice activities, and chances to talk with other students. You can work at your own pace. When you finish, you get a special certificate in bridging divides. The course costs $149.25 but scholarships and payment plans are available for people who need help paying.
Facilitation Training for Dialogue LeadersThis training teaches people how to lead productive conversations about difficult topics like race, politics, and identity. You'll learn how to help groups talk respectfully even when they disagree. The training works for teachers, librarians, faith leaders, and community organizers. You can take it online or in person. After training, you get access to conversation guides and materials. Financial help is available if you need it. The training helps build understanding between different people and creates welcoming spaces for everyone.
Conversation Guides for Community DiscussionsLiving Room Conversations provides easy-to-use guides that help people have respectful discussions about important topics. They have over 150 guides covering topics like politics, race, mental health, education, and community issues. The guides are designed so anyone can lead a conversation, whether in person or online. Four starter guides are free to use without signing up. To access all 150+ guides, you need to create a free account on their website.
Living Room Conversations - Discussion GroupsLiving Room Conversations helps people talk about important topics in small groups of 4-6 people. You can meet in person or online to discuss things like mental health, politics, race, education, and more. Each conversation uses a special guide with questions that help people share their experiences (not just opinions). The conversations take about 90 minutes and follow six rules that help everyone listen and respect each other. You can host your own conversation using their free guides, or join staff-led conversations online. They have over 150 conversation guides on topics like community relationships, environment, faith, technology, and women's issues. The goal is to help people understand each other better and find common ground.
