5Small Group ConversationsJoin small groups of people online to share stories and learn about each other beyond labels and stereotypes. Meet once a week for five weeks with the same group for casual conversations about different topics. Talk about what you've been up to, share experiences, and find things you have in common with others. After five weeks, you can join monthly meetings and other events if you want. It's informal and friendly - you can join from home in your pajamas or while eating lunch. Great way to make new friends and get social support.
Pass the Feather: Traveling Photo ExhibitsA traveling photo exhibit showing stories and pictures of Indigenous and First Nations people. The exhibit travels to different libraries and community centers around Central Massachusetts. You can see photos of 111 people, including TikTokers, drag racers, and veterans, many wearing traditional clothing. Each person's story is shared to show how diverse Indigenous communities are. The exhibit moves to different locations throughout the year. Organizations can request to host the exhibit at their venue. People can also participate for free by having their photo and story included.
Native Heritage New England Cultural EducationNative Heritage New England teaches people about indigenous culture and traditions. Led by Chief Ladybug (Croatan and Massachusetts tribal member) and Medicine Spirit Laughing Eyes (Mohawk First Nation), they offer educational seminars, workshops, and cultural events. They provide diversity training, smudging ceremonies, and programs like 'Pass the Feather' to help non-indigenous people learn about Native American heritage. They have given over 100 educational sessions since 2017.
Photo Project - Share Your StoryThe No Evil Project is a community art program where people take photos and share their stories. You pick three words that describe you, pose for photos like the Three Wise Monkeys (see no evil, hear no evil, speak no evil), and write about something good you've done. The goal is to show that everyone can do good things, no matter who they are or what labels they have. You can get your photos taken at special events or take your own photos at home. It's a way to be part of a community that celebrates how different people can all make a positive difference.
