Missouri University Extension offers many helpful services for farmers, gardeners, and families. They test soil to help plants grow better, identify bugs and plant problems, train people to use pesticides safely, and test pressure canners to keep food safe. They also have classes on farming, gardening, nutrition, and family life. Most services have small fees. You can visit their office or call to ask questions and get help with your specific needs.

Adult volunteers help guide the youth. 4-H welcomes all Missouri kids and helps them make friends while preparing to be future leaders. Programs happen in schools, after school, and in communities across Missouri.
A statewide program that helps people become better neighbors and build stronger communities. The program offers classes, special events, presentations, and resources to help you get to know your neighbors and make your neighborhood safer and more connected. They provide a free monthly newsletter with tips and tools, charts to help you remember neighbors' names, and organize special weeks like Missouri Good Neighbor Week. The program started in Greene County in 2019 and now serves all of Missouri through MU Extension.
Learn how to safely preserve food at home through this online course. The course teaches you how to can, freeze, and dry foods to keep them fresh longer. You'll learn about making salsas, jams, pickles, and more. The course has 10 lessons you can do at your own speed. It takes about 4-5 hours total. Anyone can take this course, even beginners. You get research-based information to keep your preserved food safe to eat.
